Work of Fiction

This blog contains some posts from a fictional character in a trilogy I am writing. She is not real and she is not based off a real person. Thank you.

As the year comes to an end...

I have been writing, although not as much as I would like. Whenever I sit down to write, I find it difficult to put the ideas in my head into words. A lot of this has to do with the loss of my sweet Stardust in April. He would sit with me when I was writing, his warmth and constant purr helping me to organize my thoughts and place them onto the screen. I have a new companion, but he requires much more attention. So, when I cannot write, I have been reading, crocheting, knitting, and working on small craft projects.

The book I am currently writing is sitting at 86,660 words and is about 75% written. I started going through it from the beginning because there were things I forgot to lead up to, or things I added that needed back-story, and I had lost the book I kept my notes in, to a catident. What, you may ask, is the book about? Witches, a curse, and a ticking clock to destruction.

On that note, here's an image of two of my rescues. Jenx was a feral who had to get half his teeth removed due to a severe mouth infection and after healing in a large doggy kennel in our living room, became attached to me. Snow was an older stray when we took him in. Due to his FIV status, he has stomatosis and is getting several of his removed in January.

I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season and a happy new year.
